OUR MISSIONS
CongoInvest is a platform with the ambition to develop investment opportunities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The platform aims to connect and support various entities and individuals looking to expand their business sectors in the DRC.
CongoInvest aims to promote the Congolese economy to foreign investors and the Congolese diaspora by showcasing the country's multiple investment resources and numerous funding possibilities. The platform's mission is to make this economic development information accessible to a wider audience, guiding investors and fostering a space for exchange and networking.
Each event takes place in economically dynamic, multicultural cities with a strong presence of the Congolese diaspora. The platform places great importance on collaborating with partners in the host city. Therefore, for its various events, CongoInvest partners with local stakeholders who bring substantial added value.
SERGE MBENZA
CongoInvest was founded by Serge Mbenza and a group of individuals from the Congolese diaspora. Serge Mbenza is an economist and project manager living between the DRC and different European countries, who has been dedicated to the development of the DRC for many years.
The idea of CongoInvest comes from three observations:
- The DRC is potentially rich due to its land and subsoil, but to transform these riches into benefits for the population, significant capital is needed.
- These resources need to be sourced from outside the country, and to attract these investors, the DRC needs a platform that highlights its potential, especially in « niche » countries where information over DRC economy is rarely available.
- A platform that not only showcases the DRC but also the host country of the event, demonstrating the added value that this country can bring to the DRC to create bridges between investors and the DRC.
With CongoInvest, Serge aims to create a platform that will increase economic investment in the DRC and build a community of people from the African diaspora.
